Membership rules
These rules keep Siyavash a safe, respectful, and useful place for immigrant communities and the local businesses that serve them. By registering, you agree to follow the rules that apply to your account type.
Rules for community members (immigrants)
If you register as a community member to find services, events, and information, these rules apply to you.
- Treat every member with respect. No hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or personal attacks based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or language.
- Post honestly. Comments, reviews, and reports must be truthful and based on your own experience. Do not publish defamatory, false, or misleading content.
- Respect the privacy of others. Do not share anyone's personal data — real name, address, phone number, immigration status — without their explicit consent.
- Follow the law. Content that is illegal under German law (including incitement, extremism, or fraud) is not allowed on Siyavash.
- No spam or commercial self-promotion. Personal accounts must not advertise businesses or send unsolicited commercial messages. Use a business account instead.
- Protect your account. Keep your password safe and do not share it. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person, one personal account.
- Use the report feature responsibly. Report violations instead of engaging in arguments. False or retaliatory reports are themselves a violation.
- Know what is visible. When you comment on a post, other users see your username and profile photo. When you follow a business, your username and profile photo appear in that business's followers list. Other personal data remains protected.
Rules for businesses
If you register as a business or service provider, these additional rules apply to you.
- Provide accurate, current, and verifiable information about your business (legal name, address, contact, services) and keep it up to date.
- Cooperate with verification. Business accounts may be subject to verification. Premium features are subject to the active subscription and its terms. Bypassing verification is prohibited.
- Operate lawfully. Your business activity advertised on Siyavash must comply with German law, including trade, tax, GDPR, consumer protection, and any licensing required for your industry.
- Publish truthful content. Services, events, blog posts, and images must represent real offerings. No misleading pricing, fake availability, fake reviews, or copied content.
- Respect customer data. Do not collect personal data beyond what the platform provides, and handle any personal data obtained via Siyavash in line with GDPR.
- No attacks on competitors. Do not post defamatory content about competing businesses or coordinate negative campaigns against them.
- Accept public visibility. Your business information — including your history of events, services, and blog posts (for premium members) — is publicly visible through your business dashboard and public profile. Do not publish content you do not want to be public.
- One business, one account. The account owner is responsible for all activity and for keeping credentials secure; team access must be managed responsibly by the owner.
Violations of these rules may result in content removal, temporary restrictions, loss of verification or premium status, or permanent account closure, at Siyavash's discretion. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.
